You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?
That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.

I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.
As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves! 2 Corinthians 1:7-11
My parents wanted their children circumcised. I think it was the generally accepted practice then and remains so today in America. I’m glad they did, but it did nothing for my salvation. Paul preached the gospel that salvation is by God’s grace through our faith. Period. No conformity to the former Judaic law can save, it can only confuse. He urged the Galatians to reject those requiring new converts to be circumcised. In amazingly strong language, Paul goes on to say to ‘those agitators’, they ought to go all the way with their own circumcision. I think you get the picture. All of this discussion was to under gird his larger message, that there is freedom in Christ. We are bound to the law of the Spirit now. So let us walk by the Spirit!
Am I relying on any works or rituals to save me or keep me in good standing with God?
Lord, there is freedom in this relationship I have with You. Please reveal to me anytime I am using my freedom as a cloak for vice or in a way that is displeasing to You or detrimental to other believers. Please be near me and give me wisdom from above in every conversation. Bless the staff at our church and schools in wonderful ways. May every child experience the joy of learning and the sweetness of Christian fellowship today.
