Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. John 12:4
Jesus ended up setting the priorities of the disciples straight. He would go on to say, the poor you have with you always, but you do not always have me. In other words, the time of the earthly visit of the Son of God was almost over and they were quibbling about the cost and best use of perfume.
How are the priorities of my life? Is Jesus number one, first and foremost? Yes.
God, as I make my way through this day. Oh that I might anoint Jesus in my mind, with my words and in every action.
