stationsAnd the crowds were questioning him, saying, “Then what shall we do?”
And he would answer and say to them, “The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise.”
And some tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?”
And he said to them, “Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.”
Some soldiers were questioning him, saying, “And what about us, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Do not take money from anyone by force, or accuse anyone falsely, and be content with your wages.” Luke 3:10-14

When a person becomes a follower of God, most often He desires them to remain in whatever station they are in and become a witness to those around them. John the Baptist told people – live out your faith (give, share, love). If you are a tax collector, be a righteous one. If you are soldier, don’t quit, but rather be fair, truthful and content. In other words, stay in whatever station you find yourself. Jesus said ‘occupy until I come’. Its the same idea.

Am I content with where God has me? Am I willing to go where He asks?

God, where you lead I will follow. I have a profound sense of eternal purpose. Help me clearly hear Your voice and move with You as You lead and guide. Thank you for my current ‘Station’. Help me man it well.
