Now King Solomon was king over all Israel. These were his officials: Azariah the son of Zadok was the priest; Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha were secretaries; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder; and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests; and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the deputies; and Zabud the son of Nathan, a priest, was the king’s friend; and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor. 1 Kings 4:3-6
Solomon had some mad organization skills. His wisdom was on display in the way he appointed many of the men who had served his father David, into important roles. All of us can receive Divine inspiration and ideas. The Bible says ‘now we have the mind of Christ’.
Right now with some new job assignments, I need the mind of Christ. This morning I will not fear but demonstrate humble faith that God can reveal true genius to solve any problem, resolve any conflict, and lead the way forward.
Oh how awesome it is today Lord, to know you still operate in the lives of men and women. Work mightily in mine. You know the heartache in our family right now. You know the financial pressure. You are not worried. In faith, I ask You to carry us along with the sweet favor of your presence.
