As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.
Even after my skin is destroyed, yet from my flesh I shall see God;
Whom I myself shall behold, and whom my eyes will see and not another.
My heart faints within me! Job 19:25-27
Job felt that he had endured God’s punishment ‘by the skin of his teeth’. Ironically, it was not God punishing him at all. And in one lucid moment he realizes that this life is not all there is. Job knows that God is our Redeemer who is alive and one day Job will see him.
How many lucid moments do I have, where I come to absolute clarity about God, His goodness, and my future forever with Him? Not enough.
God, You are my Redeemer and I know that You live. You live in my heart and in heaven. And one day I will see You. Let me live with this in mind.
