But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Matthew 5:44-46
Jesus calls me to love the undeserving and when I do, I become more like my heavenly Father (God). By loving them, He doesn’t promise a change in them, necessarily.
It seems like I have confronted evil and the confusion that comes from attacks of the enemy of God and my own soul. I believe I am responding in love, but I am not completely convinced of the godliness of my responses.
Lord Jesus, I need Your insight, emotions, and guidance. There are issues unresolved at this moment and a few meetings coming on Monday. Please prepare me and be with me in the midst. I am so glad You loved me when I was undeserving.
