If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1
You and I don’t have to have everything. But one thing we gotta have is love. As Paul instructs the people in Corinth about Christian unity, he reminds them that the main thing is love. Whenever love is the paramount way we relate and communicate with each other, we can find understanding and unity. Why? Because our focus moves from pleasing ourselves and getting our own way, to building others up.
Am I looking at all of life’s situations and people through the right lens… the lens of love? I must remember that this lens sees the needs of others before considering my own.
God, I have a number of interactions with people that You have planned this week. Help me see things from their perspective and respond in love. Let me be heard, because I love.
