Like cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

Good news, strong convictions, being other’s centered, and self-control are refreshing, good, and powerful qualities in a man’s life. Today we focus on the negative far too much. We see people ‘waffle’ when it comes to righteousness with big issues by tolerating abortion, violence, and wickedness. Every once in a while a person who stands firm in righteousness emerges and its like cold water to a thirsty soul. Why? Because the soul of man longs for righteousness. We are made that way by God.
What good news do I bring? Are my convictions clear? Do I seek to glorify myself or build others up? Do I demonstrate self-control?
God, I desire all these qualities. By Your indwelling Spirit, please make me into the man You want me to be. Thank you for your goodness in my life and especially the family you’ve given me. Wow! I marvel at each one from bride to brothers, mother, father, sons, daughter, in-laws, etc. I am truly blessed. May I be refreshing to each of them.
