Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.
Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.
Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away.
The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.Luke 7:11-15
The word of God is continually sown, thrown and often carefully planted in hearts every day, everywhere in the world. The soil sometimes is not conducive to growth. Mankind also has an deceptive enemy trying to steal the word away. But then we see the miracle of the conversion of a soul. Fruit is produced, sometimes a hundredfold. This is how the kingdom of God grows. So, those of us who have been to some degree or another ‘good soil’, let us share what we have found in Jesus Christ and the word of God with others today. The results are more up to God and the hearer. Remember, half the fun of fishin’, is who yer fishin with. Let’s sow together!

God, I am grateful for the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for changing my life and bringing from it spiritual fruit that will last an eternity. Use me today to love someone in Your name and to share Your Holy Word with someone who needs it. Remind me the results are not mine, but Your’s! Let’s sow together!
