For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6
Paul reminds Timothy that Jesus is the mediator between God and men. What an amazing plan of salvation that God unfolded at just the right time in history. What an ingenious concept God presented to us, that His only begotten Son would be the bridge for us to have our sins forgiven and come into a personal knowledge of God. I love the words that he writes before this truth about God’s motivation: ‘This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.’
Is Jesus my mediator? Have I fulfilled God’s desire for me by coming to the knowledge of the truth?
