Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2
Paul says that our faith (belief in God to the point of putting our full weight upon Him), leads us into His grace (unmerited favor) in which we have a standing position that produces an excitement because we will one day be in the presence of the God who made us.
Is this what happened to me? Yes! Today I stand in a right relationship with God, not based on my right or wrong-doings, but on His grace which I received and continually receive by faith in who Jesus is and what He did for me.
