incentiveSo Moses gave command concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ households of the tribes of the sons of Israel. Moses said to them, “If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, everyone who is armed for battle, will cross with you over the Jordan in the presence of the Lord, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession; 30 but if they will not cross over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.” Numbers 32:28-30

Moses would not enter the promised land, so he commanded Eleazar to make sure that the tribes of Gad and Reuben fulfilled their promise to fight alongside their fellow Israelites (even though they were settling on the other side of the Jordan). Moses kept the ‘carrot’ out in front of them, so they would be faithful to God and their own promise.

Am I wise enough to create incentives for people serving on my teams? Are they logical and well fit to the situation?

God, I love how Moses created a wise way for everyone to succeed in following Your plan. Thank you for the incentives and blessings You place in my life. Help me be wise in the ways I interact with people. Help me understand the proper use of incentives.
