In Whom Do We Trust?

trust GodTrust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8

I understand a lot of things. God understands all things. Solomon, who was filled with wisdom from God, still advises that we ‘trust in the Lord completely’ instead of relying on my own experiences, knowledge and understanding. Now, that’s saying something! The temptation is to do it on my own, give myself credit, and claim that I am wise. That’s when pride and evil come in. In humility, I should acknowledge the contribution of others, the superintending plan and providence of God and turn from evil. Then, healing and refreshment enter my life.

In whom do I trust? What problems am I trying to solve on my own without Him?

God, today I trust again in You. I have seen Your workings in problems and difficult situations and I am never disappointed. Would you again show Your wisdom, love, truth and power. Specifically, I need Your wisdom to optimize the budget and finish well this year. Would you amplify the results with generosity from Your people, even as You are doing?!
