In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. Ephesians 1:5
One big philosophical question is Why? Why all of this and why any of this? The answer is Love! The Bible says that because of God’s great love, he mapped it all out ahead of time to bring us to salvation and relationship with Him. He did it freely, kindly, lavishly. Amazing!
I feel like I have been the great benefactor of His love. It has overflowed into my life and hopefully out of it as well.
God, I am feeling blown away by this reminder that You are and always will be motivated out of Your very nature which is love. May I walk confidently in You knowing I am loved by the king of the universe.
