How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered!
How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit! Psalm 32:1-2
To have our sins forgiven… is there any greater blessing? Covered because Jesus paid the price with His own death. The imputed righteousness of Christ Jesus is perhaps the most precious gift of all from God. He sees me and loves me as He does His own Son. David experienced this on the other side of the cross, before Jesus ever walked the earth. Yet God, in His foreknowledge and marvelous plan forgave David’s sin.
How blessed am I? Oh, to the greatest degree. And what should be the result in my life? Love! For he who has been forgiven much, the same loveth much.
God may my life overflow with love as I allow the overflowing love You have shown me by forgiving me… to be extended to all around me.
