Immediate Obedience for Good

Faith and Obedience
Faith creates a prompt obedience according to Spurgeon.
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you” — when you already have it with you. Proverbs 3:27-28

Wisdom rewards immediate obedience. Every day God has divine appointments set for us to do good to others, thereby fulfilling the second great command: love our neighbor as ourselves.

When God prompts me to do good or to pay for someone for work they have done, do I obey right away or delay?

God, thank you that you don’t delay in meeting my needs. Help me be prompt in responding to the needs all around me. Use me today as your instrument of good.
