“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. Romans 9b-11
The golden rule is ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto to you.’ That’s what the apostle Paul is saying here. Why? Its the fulfillment of God’s second great command. Its an imperative for every Christian because the fulfillment of our salvation is one day closer today, than yesterday (because we are closer to the Lord’s return or our own going to Him). So let’s wake up and love people in that way.
Am I loving people in Jesus name the way I want to be loved? Who?
God, what a simple yet powerful way to live. Help me see everyone through the lens of Your eyes today. Thank you for all those who have loved me, especially my lovely bride. Bless her today in all she does. Can’t wait till the end of the day. Oh, and thanks for the help yesterday with my projects. I need it again today.
