I’m Claiming The Promises Of God

promisesThen Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. The Lord smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:20-22

When the ark came to rest, Noah first worshiped God with a sacrifice. God’s response was to accept the sacrifice and make a covenant to not destroy every living thing again and to lift the curse on the ground. The rainbow would become the sign of His promise. I am so glad that God keeps His promises.

What promises has God given me personally? Am I as faithful as He is?

God, thank you for Your redeeming love and grace. I am looking forward to a wonderful time of hanging with the family this week. Grateful for all You do. Please do the things I cannot. May great ministry occur in my absence and would You manage the big projects on my behalf?
