I’ve gotten stuck at times and delayed acting on what I believed God wanted for my life. Sometimes God places within our minds and hearts what He wants to do. He gives us ‘the plan’, but we may not comprehend all of His plan. If we understood all that He had in mind, we might get paralyzed and fearful and not act in faith. Moses was experiencing that tension. So God gave Moses an overview of the plan. Some of the details would be filled in along the way. Because Moses obeyed, the people of God entered the promised land flowing with milk and honey as God promised. What promise is yet to be fulfilled in my life and yours, simply because we want to know the ‘whole plan’ before acting?
They will pay heed to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt and you will say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please, let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’ But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except under compulsion. So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it; and after that he will let you go. Exodus 3:18-20 NASB
How often has God proved Himself faithful to the plans He has disclosed to me? Is there anything I am delaying in His will or plans right now?
God, as this day begins- I see Your wonderful plans unfold day by day. May You work in me and through me. Help me perceive the help You provide, the way forward, and the plans You’ve disclosed. I am praying for wisdom, insight, and the ability to love others in Your name today. Thank you for the friends along on the journey. Bless our church, pastors, and the other Christ-centered, Bible teaching churches in Corona.
