Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. Jude 1:3
For anyone shepherding God’s people, it is necesary to contend for the truth of the gospel. The world and its lusts along with the suffering in it are enough pressure for any believer. How much more do we need to remove those who would lead believers astray?
Am I contending for the truth vigorously. I know I am teaching God’s word. Have I allowed anyone who would teach falsehoods around the Men, Singles, Online, School or any other areas for which I am responsible?
Lord reveal to me where I need to contend and protect.
