How A Reasonable Person Worships

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

Engineers, people of science, and rational thinkers sometimes mistakenly believe Christianity is just emotional gobbly gook. They are so wrong. They think we are brain dead. Some of the greatest rational thinkers have been Christians. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christians_in_science_and_technology)
In contrast to a dead animal being burned as a sacrifice to God, Paul says that we are to present ourselves as living and holy (set apart for special use) sacrifices that will be accepted by God. This is the reasonable response to all God has done for us. There are dangers and detours in the world that one day will not be part of our heavenly experience. They come from the common depraved worldly thinking that has been influenced by sin and selfishness. We must have our thinking renewed and transformed. And as that happens, I begin to prove (live out by experience) God’s will for my life. This is how a reasonable person worships.

How am I worshiping God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength?

God, as this day begins and I, as part of Your glorious creation, interact with others, may I be a blessing and my my body be a living sacrifice acceptable to You. I choose to worship You today with Jesus as my guide and model in all things.
