Thus says the Lord God, “When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will live in their land which I gave to My servant Jacob. They will live in it securely; and they will build houses, plant vineyards and live securely when I execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God. Ezekiel 28:25-26
God’s unique goodness and righteousness would become evident as He gathered His people back from the nations in which they were scattered in the captivity of the Babylonians. In addition, He would protect them from neighboring people who threatened them. All of this was to again remind them that He is the Lord their God. Amazing! He wants to do the same for anyone who is caught in sin, who is ready to repent, and who puts their faith and trust in Jesus.
How has God’s holiness been made known in my life? Am I a living testimony of His grace and power to transform? Is He protecting me from scoffing neighbors?
God, You have done all of this and more. I live spiritually secure in You!
