Heaven Rejoices when…

And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours. But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’” Luke 15:31-32

I love the story of the prodigal son who returns to his father. The response of the older brother is really the point of the story. We are to rejoice when a sinner returns to God. That’s why our church make the invitation time and the opportunity to “come forward” so special.

What is my attitude toward the lost? Do I rejoice over every person who makes a decision for Christ? Yes, often holding back all the emotions. What a joy it is to be in a church that invites sinners to the Savior!

Lord Jesus, draw hundreds to Yourself again this week… in Generate, in our weekend worship services and onto the campus throughout the week. What a rejoicing it will be!
