This is the number of the things for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony, as they were numbered according to the command of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. Now Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord had commanded Moses. With him was Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and a skillful workman and a weaver in blue and in purple and in scarlet material, and fine linen. Exodus 38:21-23
Oholiab and Bezalel were supernaturally gifted by God to make the tools and items of worship in the temple. They were craftsmen. How incredible it must have been to employ their insight, intellect, know-how, resources, techniques and creativity to fulfill what God has asked. They were creating the environment where spiritual and miraculous things could happen.
This is what I do too. I am chartered with creating the environment for spiritual things to happen. And what a privilege it is to see the staff minister to students and parents within the school I serve.
God, what a wonderful example of how You value each person and the contribution they can make in Your kingdom. Who would have thought that the years of preparation by these two men would be met with the divine inspiration and calling to do something incredible… to make a piece of heaven on earth.
