Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 8:1
Stephen was the second martyr of the church (Jesus, being first in all things). Interesting to me, is that Saul who later would be called the apostle Paul was right there in hearty agreement. Isn’t it interesting how before knowing Christ, we can have everything in our thinking backwards.
The same is true for me. Many of my ideals of what was good and right were warped by worldly wisdom and a mind absent of the knowledge of God.
I praise you God that the Bible says I now have “the mind of Christ”. Today, give me your Your perspective on all things. Help me love like You and affirm what You declare is righteous.
