So when they got out on the land, they saw a charcoal fire already laid and fish placed on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have now caught.” Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn. John 21:10-11
Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples once again. It was early in the morning after fishing without any success all night. He told them to put their net down on the side of the boat as He had done before. A miracle resulted. But, Jesus also had fish waiting for them. He chosed to involve them in the greatest work ever, yet He Himself delivers the results. I remember a funny little children’s prayer that can set all of us on the right path each morning. “Good morning Lord, this is Your day. I am Your child, please show me Your way”.
Have I understood that it is a privilege to call people to faith in Christ – literally to Fish for Men! Wow, the results will be God’s, but He invites me to put the net out for Him.
Lord Jesus, again I realize how great a calling it is to work alongside You drawing men to You! Use our men in a fantastic way to grow Your kingdom. May I prepare the meal for You!
