God’s Holy Law = Blessed Life

I feel like I am in a pretty good season of life right now. Then again, I tend to enjoy every season of life. In the midst of season where many may feel uncertain, languishing, weak and fading, needy and destitute, I pray God’s best for them. How great is is when we have a firm and solid foundation, we are productive, resilient, and prosperous in every way? The Lord offers that to us all. The Psalmist disclosed the secret with 3 safeguards or “don’ts”. Don’t walk with the ungodly (wicked people). Don’t stand (make alliances) with sinners. Don’t sit (judge) and mock and scoff at others plight. Then he gives us 2 “do’s”. Delight in God’s Law. Meditate (think regularly and continually) on His Law. Oh, watch your life change!

Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the Law of the Lord,
And on His Law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season,
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3 NASB

How engrained is the Law of God within my mind and heart? Do I seek to know Him and do His will continually? Would others call me blessed?

God, as this day begins- I truly am blessed. More by Your grace and affection than my faithful adherence to Your Holy Law. I do love Your Law. I want to love it more, for behind it all is You. May this day be one in which I constantly am reminded of You and Your ways. Guide me by the indwelling Holy Spirit to be and do that which You desire. Bless me, O Lord- even as I am already richly blessed!
