We’ve all heard the saying “seeing is believing” and for most, that’s true. But, when a heart is hardened toward God, even seeing miracles will not change them. God values faith and rewards obedience. When the officials of Pharaoh saw the miracles that could not be replicated (gnats, flies, livestock) several believed that the God of Moses could send hail that would destroy, so they took action. But many ignored the word of the Lord. Such are the times in which we are living. Far too many are ignoring God and suffering for it. May any turn to Him and experience His protection, provision, and blessings.
Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord hurried to bring their slaves and their livestock inside. But those who ignored the word of the Lord left their slaves and livestock in the field. Exodus 9:20-121 NASB
Do I trust God because of the miracles I have seen? Or do I discount them and live as if they never happened?
God, as this day begins- I thank You for Your goodness and mercy. I am fasting again from coffee, Dr. Pepper, and Fox News… so that I might enjoy more continuous prayer throughout the day. You know what’s on my heart. I see evidence of You providing in amazing ways. Now, would you move in the special heart of the person for whom I am fasting?
