If I sent my son to visit you and to describe what was on my mind and what I am like, you could get a pretty clear picture. In the same way, the invisible God took human form and revealed Himself to us. Jesus of Nazareth was God in a Bod! If we want to know what God is like, we can look to Him. And when we gaze upon Him and endeavor to be like Him in word, thought and deed, we are brought into the fullest life we could ever imagine. The invitation remains open today. Do you know Him? He said, this then is salvation- to know God the Father and the Son whom He has sent.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. Colossians 2:9-10 NIV
In what way has my life been ‘brought to fullness”? How evident is my thankfulness?
God, as this day begins- I say again and afresh, how wonderful it is to be found in Christ… to know my sins are forgiven, the Your love is available, and the indwelling Holy Spirit controls, leads and guides me. Would you please direct my steps today so that I walk in a manner worthy of Your calling. I pause to pray for Tim’s son Jason and his recovery, encouragement and clarity of thought. Also, would you provide the resources for another Tim to have his car repaired? And finally, the other Tim, please be his encouragement in this season of loneliness without his wife. Show me what part of the solution You desire me to be.
