The early Christians were scattered as aliens throughout Greece, Asia minor and Europe. It was a result of both the earlier dispersion of Jews, and in this case, the persecution in Judea. its difficult and lonely being a stranger or alien in a foreign place. As believers, we are aliens in this world, because our ultimate home, is heaven. Peter’s prayer for them was for God’s fullest measure of grace and peace. They needed hope. We all do.
Who in my circle of influence needs prayer, peace, grace and hope?
God, remind me throughout the day who I might lift in prayer. Thank you for the grace and peace you offer me. I need it.
