Let the righteous smite me in kindness and reprove me;
It is oil upon the head; Do not let my head refuse it, Psalm 141:5
David realized that correction from other people was actually a blessing in his life. He says, ‘do not let my head refuse it’. What a great attitude toward getting better.
How about me? I have a natural aversion toward correction. How can I be more and more receptive to it? I will see it as coming from the Lord.
God, as I make my way through this week, help me be open to getting better at what I do.
