Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” And Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, “Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over ahead of the people.” So they took up the ark of the covenant and went ahead of the people. Joshua 3:5-6
Ever gotten ahead of God and His plans? I sure have. The better way to approach life, especially when it comes to battles, is to consecrate ourselves and then let God go ahead of us. The ark of the covenant is representative of the presence of God. Notice that Joshua let God go ahead of the people. The result was that the LORD did wonders!
Is there any area of my life right now that I am ahead of God?
Lord God, I want to draw near and consecrate myself to you. You are my maximum authority. If You say stay, I stay, move, I will move. Go ahead so I might see you do wonders.
