Fortunate

Today, I finish the month-long exercise of reading the Proverbs of Solomon, Agur and Lemuel. The capstone is a tribute to godly women and the importance within the family and especially in their role as wives and mothers. My wife is certainly worthy of praise. She excels at many things and her children do bless her. I am that fortunate soul who has a wife who is charming, beautiful (inside and out), but above all- she fears the Lord and lives her life in devotion to the Savior. I wish the same good fortune for each of my sons and it seems that God has heard my prayers.

Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
“Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all.”
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
Give her the product of her hands,
And let her works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:28-31 NASB

How can I express my pleasure and praise to my wife today?

God, as this day begins- I am so very fortunate to have Maureen as my partner in life. I am grateful beyond measure. Would You help me accomplish all that is necessary today. I look ahead at many, many tasks and oh how I could benefit from You going before me to pave the way. Thank you again for the wisdom of the Proverbs.
