There is a song “Everybody Ought To Know Who Jesus Is”. I agree with that sentiment completely. Much of my life is devoted to that endeavor. But, sometime people get the wrong “Jesus”. The real and historical Jesus of Nazareth declared Himself to be the only begotten Son of the living God. He is the Messiah (Christ) promised to the Jewish people and the whole world. In the early church, some rejected that idea. They were ‘against’ Christ, or anti-Christs. They were deceived and promoted a lie. Have you come to understand that Jesus is ‘the Christ’ the Son of the Living God? That’s what Christmas is all about. I taught a sermon about the 6 Implications of this very truth. Who is the liar except the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Who is Jesus? Who is He to me?
God, as this day begins- I thank you for another day of life, love and eternal purpose. I am grateful to know Jesus as He is… the Son of the Living God. May the thoughts of my heart, words of my mouth and actions I take today be pleasing in Your sight. May I share Your great love with someone who doesn’t yet know ‘Who Jesus Is’.
