Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man. John 2:24-25
Not everyone who comes to Jesus, comes in sincerity with a repentant heart ready for change and committed to Him. Jesus knows the deceitful heart of man, loves us anyway, but does not entrust Himself to everyone. At the beginning of His public ministry, He did the great sign of turning nearly 300 gallons of water into wine, cleansed the temple of the money changers, and then additional signs. Many were beginning to believe!
Is my life a testimony to His saving grace and transforming power? How did I come to Christ?… on my terms or His?
Lord Jesus, to follow You is the greatest decision and adventure of my life. I am ready for another day. I entrust myself to You. Would you entrust Yourself to me?
