Eleventh Hour

There are things in life that I purposely delay in doing, addressing or completing. They are simply not a priority. However, when I was young, God became a super high priority. While I didn’t have the advantage of growing up in church, I did commit my life to Christ at age 18 right after high school. That began a real relationship with God through His Son Jesus- wherein I not only pray (everyone does), but I receive answers, He (God), through His Spirit directs my steps, imparts thoughts beyond my own, and moves my emotions to His. You could say I have remembered my Creator since the days of my youth… and my life has been better for it. That’s what Solomon is saying. Don’t put off placing your faith in Jesus. Do it today. Some will ask ‘Can’t I just wait and do it at the eleventh hour?’. Yes, you can. But why wait, the blessings are yours in abundance. And my observation is that those who wait till the eleventh hour, often die at 10:30.

Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”; before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are darkened, and clouds return after the rain; in the day that the watchmen of the house tremble, and mighty men stoop, the grinding ones stand idle because they are few, and those who look through windows grow dim; and the doors on the street are shut as the sound of the grinding mill is low, and one will arise at the sound of the bird, and all the daughters of song will sing softly. Ecclesiastes 12:1-4 NASB

Thank you God- for Your goodness and how You saved me from myself, the error of my ways, the sin that had abounded. Forgive me for my shortcomings, failures and straying from Your love and the life You desire. Please use my life to bless someone today. I am so happy I didn’t wait to seek You (when all along it was You seeking me).
