Now he had still another dream, and related it to his brothers, and said, “Lo, I have had still another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” Genesis 37:9
By the description in Genesis, Joseph was an arrogant little punk. You would have thought he would learn from the reaction of his brothers the first time he shared a dream. They hated him! Oh how we need discretion – the character quality that allows us to use wisdom in sharing information.
I am a bit of a “blurter” too. I probably share more information than is wise in order to remain transparent. I need to remember the Bible standard for communication – only what is beneficial to the hearer.
Lord Jesus, You always spoke as the oracle of God, because You are God. I give want to have words that are as wise and helpful, please guide my thoughts and words today.
