Living in this world can be scary and even dangerous. Don’t believe me? Just watch an hour of the news. I have experienced Divine intervention, protection, and insight many times. God’s favor and grace to me is undeserved. Solomon, however told us how to curry God’s favor expressed in the imparting of wisdom from Him to us. He actually is storing wisdom up and ready to dispense it to us for our benefit. Even James, the earthly brother said that God gives it liberally to those who humbly ask. When we do, He Himself is our shield. The pathway to justice is paved, He watches over us, and we see every good thing ahead!
He [God] stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
Guarding the paths of justice, and He watches over the way of His godly ones.
Then you will discern righteousness, justice, and integrity, and every good path.
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be delightful to your soul; Proverbs 2:7-10
How can I invite God’s wisdom into my life? Do I properly fear the Lord?
God, as this day begins- I do want Your wisdom in my life. I look ahead with some trepidation about the days events. I don’t have all the answers. But, You do. Would you be my shield, pathway of righteousness, justice and every good thing! Let’s go take on the day.
