Now therefore, restore the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.” Genesis 20:7
God kept his promise to Abraham, even though Abraham was fearful (faithless) and lied to Abimilech. In the end, God blessed Abimilech, because he dealt favorably with Abraham. This was sort of a cosmic karma.
I wonder if I am more like Abraham or Abimilech? In this instance Abimilech, surprisingly acted with integrity. Sometimes, I am like Abraham, lacking faith.
Oh that You would grow my faith to trust you completely God. Prone to sin, fear, and distraction, remind me of the great calling You have for me. Thank you for your faithfulness.
