I have done the right thing the wrong way. I have also simply done the wrong thing. And everyone once in a while I do things God’s way! His ways are higher than ours. He has full knowledge. That’s why praying before acting is so beneficial. Have you heard the phase, there is more than one way to skin a cat? First of all, who skins cats? There are many ways to go about tasks, fulfilling a calling, or just living life. Doing them God’s way draws us into a relationship with Him and helps us become more like Him. Moses got off to a bad start. He was presumptuous and almost started a war. So, God took him far away for years of preparation and developing patience. He wasn’t ready to step onto the stage and lead God’s people. Sometimes I wonder if I am. Isn’t it fascinating that the Exodus of God’s people from Egypt occurred without a conventional war?
The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.” Exodus 2:14 NASB
How often have I gotten ahead of God and outside His will? In what life circumstances shall I seek Him today?
God, as this day begins- its a wonderful opportunity to worship You in song and corporately. Would you share Your will with me regarding staying a couple extra days here in Hawaii?
