When you bring injured, lame or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands? says the Lord. Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king, says the Lord Almighty, and my name is to be feared among the nations. Malachi 1:13-14
Best Foods Mayonnaise had a slogan “Bring out the Best Foods, and bring out the Best”. God was not happy with the half-hearted worship that resulted in His people bringing Him second best. So God warned the priests that their blessings would be cursed. God placed the responsibility to bring a purity to worship and a zeal for His name upon the leaders.
How is my leadership? Do I exemplify a whole-hearted worship that brings God the first and best? Am I zealous for His name?
God, what an amazing reminder that you have placed a responsibility upon me to lead out by example in these areas. I love You Lord Jesus. May I bring the best of me in worship, offerings, and passion.
