Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. Ephesians 1:3-4
God is to be blessed because He has blessed us with everything we need in this life. He has given us every spiritual blessing. We are positionally holy and blameless before Him. Whoa! God sees me and treats me according to the perfect holiness, righteousness, and obedience of Jesus Christ, even though I am not “practically” perfected yet.
This is a difficult concept to absorb and live by. I don’t always feel holy and perfected. I wonder what would happen if I saw myself like God sees me? I should walk just like Jesus walked, right? In confidence, yet humility, with power, under control, with wisdom and compassion. I am gonna give it a try.
Lord today, I am going to remind myself (help me by Your indwelling Spirit) that positionally, I am blessed with every spiritual blessing and before You, I am blameless. And I am going to relate to other believers in the same way. Awesome!
