Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:2-3
The Bible warns us about associating with people who do evil and are hypocritical. Why? Because our hearts have been truly circumsized or cut. Our affections are now for God and godliness. As a result we worship Him in Spirit and truth, no longer wanting to make ourselves the center of attention.
How am I doing? Am I tied up with people of terrible character who are putting on a show? Not really. I think God has strained my life and association with such people. Certainly I will meet them and interact, but I don’t intend to take on their ways.
Lord, again I want You to be the object of my affection. You alone are worth it and worthy. Oh how things are better when you are primary and first in my life. Lead me into righteousness today. Make me aware.
