Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you; and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13
Talk about a benediction! Paul blesses the believers in Thessalonica asking God to direct their paths together. He ask God to cause them to increase in love resulting in a heart that is blameless, thus preparing them to stand in holiness when Jesus returns.
Is what I want for other believers around me? Let’s see… am I anticipating reunions with other believers? Do I desire that love would abound in them? Do I desire that we all would be ready for Jesus return, standing together blameless and in love? Wow, while I want this for others… I want it for myself as well.
Oh Lord Jesus, today may these be the guideposts for my life. Prompt me throughout the day to desire them and build others up i their faith and love along the way.
