Before Its Too Late

I have patterns that have formed in my life. I guess you could call them habits. One is the particular morning routine I follow (floss, brush, shave, shower, etc.) another is the spiritual discipline of prayer, Bible reading, and journaling. Some of what I do is the result of what I began to do as a young man. Most of us developed formative habits, ways of thinking, spending money, and working when we were young. Solomon makes a final plea- ‘Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth’. Why? Because when you are older the energy required to change begins to wane, we get stuck in our ways. Its as if the sun and moon even seem darkened. Fear also rises within us and the ability to take risks fades. So, today I say ‘go all in’ with God! Throw your life into the hands of the living God and His Son Jesus Christ. Wise men seek Him. Please do it before its too late.

Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”; before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are darkened, and clouds return after the rain; in the day that the watchmen of the house tremble, and mighty men stoop, the grinding ones stand idle because they are few, and those who look through windows grow dim; and the doors on the street are shut as the sound of the grinding mill is low, and one will arise at the sound of the bird, and all the daughters of song will sing softly. Ecclesiastes 12:1-4 NASB

When did I first begin to allow God to have preeminence in my life? Who can I lift in prayer today?

God, as this day begins- I am so glad its not too late for anyone to come into a saving relationship with You. Help those who are old to reach out and seek You, I know they will find You. Thank you for what lies ahead today, may the meetings with people be fruitful!
