Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:19-20
My friend used to say “the opposite of love is not hate, its apathy”. Jesus disciplines His followers because He loves. Our response should be a zealous repentance and return to Him.
How do I respond to His correction and discipline? Am I immediately obedient? Do I harbor any resentment… or am I grateful for a heavenly Father that leads me in righteousness?
O God, I invite You to go into all the rooms of my house (life) and clean and change and correct. My mind, body, and soul are open to You. I am opening the door to You.
