I love my wife, my kids, and especially my grandkids. And they love me! I also love tacos and pizza (but that’s another kind of love). From where do I get the ability to love? The Bible says that God’s nature is love and we received our ability to love from Him. At one point in history, He even sent His Son to a forgetful and unloving world to remind us. When we love, we really live. You can be rich without love and poor and be rich in love. Isn’t that amazing. Love is the great equalizer and activator. Let’s love and live today!
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. Who can I reach out to and love in Jesus name today? How grateful am I for the love in my life?
God, as this day begins- I thank you for so many loving people in my life. There are family members, friends, and others who are so gracious to me. Please continue to give me an overflow of love in my heart so that I might be a constant witness to Your goodness and nature that now lives in me. Love makes life worth living!
