Eliphaz gave Job a tongue-lashing. He tried to humble Job and set him straight. This advice would have been well fit for any other man, but Job was actually righteous. Eliphaz didn’t understand the unseen world and circumstances affecting Job. Nevertheless, his advice is good for you and me.
Do I think I am the only one God has ever dealt with on a personal basis? Does God share His knowledge and ways with only me? Of course not!
Lord, while I feel very special in Your eyes and benefit from Your personal care and attention… its good to be reminded that You love others too. Oh help me be others centered, especially as I try to solve the problems that are big in my life. I praise You that I am not alone. May I remind others, they are not either.
