And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men; and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day.” And they were deeply grieved. Matthew 17:22-23
Jesus disclosed to the disciples that He was going to be killed. They were grieved. Whatever hopes and dreams they had were dashed. The amazing adventure and ministry they were experiencing was coming to an end. But, this was God’s plan. And the next adventure recorded in the book of Acts (the history book of the church) was about to begin.
Can I grieve losses and move on to the next adventure?
God, how wonderful are Your ways and plans for us. Thank you that You are faithful and answer my prayers. I look forward to the people I will interact with today and ask that You continue to lead, guide and provide in the ministry You’ve called me to. Would you by Your great power and affection bring that one opportunity that has been on my mind to fruition?
