You are those who have stood by Me in My trials; and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Luke 22:28-30
Jesus made a marvelous promise to his disciples. They would be with Him in eternity fulfilling places of honor and importance. All followers of Jesus Christ are co-heirs with Him. We too will inherit not only eternal life, but a place in His kingdom. This tells me their is great purpose and activity throughout all eternity.
I wonder what my role will be. Somehow the very purpose for which God made me, will be known, and I will fulfill that purpose over and over again. I imagine that will bring me great joy and God pleasure as well.
Oh, Lord God, may your purposed for my life become clear to me, long before I finish this life and begin the next. Even today, may I fulfill the purposes for which I was made. Amen.
